I'm Heather and I'm a natural light, lifestyle photographer, specializing in capturing beautifully authentic families, couples, newborns and children.

 

I LOVE what I do.

Originally a nurse, for over 15 years, I think I always knew I wanted to be a photographer. I used to pretend to be one for National Geographic as a kid: traveling the world (aka: my backyard)…complete with a self-made passport and a wild imagination.

I am born and raised in sunny Arizona, but recently decided embark on an adventure with my husband, two children, and dog to live in Colorado. I’m not sure how I’ll fair in the snow, but we are excited for it just the same. I’ve prepared by purchasing snow shoes and parkas…my husband rolls his eyes a lot, but loves it deep down.

I love Sour Patch Kids, pico de gallo, running, doing puzzles...and, of course, spending time with my family! I am an introvert with a strange phobia of basements (they don't have them in Arizona).  My kids beg me to stop singing along to the radio—mostly using the wrong words—so I have officially given up on my pursuit to be on America's Got Talent. I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark III and typically hover around using one or two of my favorite lenses during a shoot—I like to keep it simple. Sometimes I get a wild hair and like to try new ideas or make weird jokes…roll with it.
